Accounts Payable: Operate several different accounts dealing with the mission, worked to improve relation with vendors, reported on the status of internal controls to the CEO, prepared budget for departmental spending, bank reconciliations, and established inventory control procedures 

 

2006 to 2007                       Alabama State University Grants and Contracts Department
• Graduate Assistantship: Work in several different offices, matched invoices to their supporting documents, prepared bank reconciliation, worked on spreadsheets for replacing files, help the school switch over from a paper filing system to a computer filing system, processed electronic and paper purchase orders, and prepared electronic and paper journal vouchers

• Tax Accountant Assistant: Prepared tax returns for individuals and small companies ranging from $20,000 to $100,000, prepared 440 for not-for-profit, use several different taw software, and bookkeeping software

 

Summer 2005                      AllState Insurance Company (Intern), Jacksonville, FL
• Agent Assistant: Assisted agents with keeping records of current and potential clients, quotes for auto, life and home insurance, collected clients payments, and performed various office task
